Ealing Trailfinders are please to announce the arrival of Ben Harris and Ealing Trailfinders Welcome Ben Harris and Michael Stronge ahead of the 24/25 season.

At just 24 years old, Ben Harris is a GB7s Olympian, a key player who helped his country to a commendable fourth place in the 2020 Tokyo Games, Using his blistering pace and clinical finishing ability.

25 year old Scrum-half Michael Stronge is from fellow Championship side Nottingham. He can also slot in as fly-half and has made 73 appearances for the Archers since he joined in 2020, scoring 15 tries.

Stronge started his career in Ulster’s Rugby Academy in 2012. He went on to make 10 appearances for Ulster A and play for the Irish Men’s 7s team for a year.

A proven player in the Championship, his experience will be valuable for Trailfinders as they look to retain the title.

Thank You to our 23/24 Leavers

It was another historic year for the club, which won the League Title and reached the semi-finals of the Premiership Cup.

These players will leave Trailfinders following our final game of the season against Bedford. Through their dedication and skill, they have contributed enormously to the club, and they will all be fondly remembered at Ealing Trailfinders.

End of Season Family Fun Day Party

To mark the end of the rugby season, the Minis and Youths sections put on a Family Fun Day with activities for all the family.

Thanks to our sponsors, The Electric Bike Company, Pitshanger Community Association and Serenity Treatment, as well as a very successful bottle Tombola and individual donations, we were able to offer all events free of charge.

It is difficult to choose the highlight of the day between the inflatable activities, the coaches going into the stocks and the One Night Only

band.

Zoe Cox, Ealing 1871 Women’s hooker is chasing the international dream this summer, with the England Deaf Women’s team.

After Zoe discovered that she was profoundly deaf during Covid-19, she has progressed through the team and is in line to tour South Africa with England in August.

Guest host Toby Holt is on hand with Jez to find out how she got to this point, who has inspired her along the way, what playing without hearing aids is like, and what the tour to South Africa will entail.

Match Report Gloucester Hartpury 59 – 12 Trailfinders Women

Trailfinders Women fell to a 59-12 defeat at the hands of Gloucester-Hartpury at Kingsholm in the Allianz PWR.

Tries from Amanda McQuade and Rosie Inman were not enough to win points from the London club’s trip to the West Country.

This result leaves Trailfinders 7th with two games left to play.

The hosts dominated the first half, with the Cherry and Whites running in five tries and securing a try-scoring bonus point 10 minutes before the break.

Tries from Neve Jones, Emma Sing, Sarah Beckett, Maud Muir and Zoe Aldcroft meant that Gloucester-Hartpury were all but out of sight heading into the sheds.

However, despite the bleak reading on the scoreboard, Trailfinders would not lie down and take the beating.

Summer Celebration Double Header Sat 25th May
