Ealing Community Transport is offering to arrange minibus transport to Bath’s ground for £42.50 return. Minibus capacity is 15 persons.
Securing the transport is dependent on confirmed numbers and prepayment by Friday 19 July.

Ealing Trailfinders 1871 RFC has a vacancy for the Playing Kit and Equipment Manager’s role. We are looking for an active person that is interested in the progression of the 1871 Men’s section and enjoys being involved in Amateur Rugby.
The role can be tailored to the individual and the level of commitment they can offer. You will be working alongside the team managers, coaches and the executive members.
This is primarily a Thursday night role (training 1900 – 2100 hrs)
The role is as below
- Coordinate laundry for the amateur sections (currently contracted to Pressgang)
- Communicate with the laundry company as required
- Check playing kit numbers when returned from laundry
- Report missing items and request replacements
- Check balls are pumped
- Check condition of tackle bags and report if repairs required
- Keep record of equipment and report losses
This role will be supported by injured players that are on site receiving treatment on the night and other available volunteers.

Ealing Trailfinders 1871 RFC has a vacancy for the 1st Team Manager’s role. We are looking for a active person that is interested in the progression of the 1871 Men’s section and enjoys being involved in Amateur Rugby.
The role can be tailored to the individual and the level of commitment they can offer. You will be working alongside the 2nd and 3rd team managers (who are in post), coaches and the executive members.
We have a well-established Players Leadership Group which is also very proactive with on and off pitch support.
The role is as below
- Communicate directly with the 1st team coaches
- Help with player availability (this is primarily done by the leadership team)
- Manage kit for match days
- Playing kit
- Balls, cones, water bottles, bibs, tackle shields, Physio bag etc.
- Coordinate transport if required on away games
- Work with the coach to set up on match days
- Interact the referees (match day)
- Set out the playing kit in the changing rooms pre match
- Ensure all playing kit is returned to the club for laundry post-match (laundry is collected on a Monday)
- Welfare of injured players on match days
- Management meal tickets
Tuesday & Thursday training
- Tuesdays is a skills training session and you would be welcome to be involved.
- Thursday is match preparation run throughs etc.
Ideally we would like the 1st Team Manager to attend Thursdays and help coordinate for the weekends.
- Help sort the laundry and check correct numbers on shirts, shorts and socks are in bags
- Check with the physios they have what they need
- Prepare equipment especially if it’s an away game
- Ensure someone is taking the kit to and from matches

The 7th Ealing Sports Awards, sponsored by Everyone Active were held at William Perkin High School on Monday 8th July.
The awards are a celebration of the volunteers, sports clubs and the vast number of sports people that contribute to and benefit from community sport in Ealing.
Ealing Trailfinders were short listed in three categories, Ealing Sports Club of the Year, Adult Volunteer of the Year and Junior Volunteer of the Year.

Congratulations go to Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club who were awarded Ealing Sports Club of the year. The award was accepted by Club Chairman Adrian Hobbs, closely supported by Andrew Quick, Kean Marden and Cyril Renaud.
Congratulations go to Rowan Simpson, recipient of the Junior Volunteer of the Year award.
A familiar face, Olivia Blackman (formally of Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club) also took part in the celebrations, having secured gold as part of the Ealing Hand Ball Team at the London Youth Games 2024.

We are running camps at the Linford Christie Athletics Stadium in Hammersmith, Hillingdon Abbots Rugby Club in Hillingdon and off course at Vallis way.
There’s lots of choice for you this summer as we will be running our HAF multi sport camps, football, netball, and rugby masterclasses for both boys and girls!

Trailfinders Women are delighted to announce the signing of Ireland U20 international Niamh Gallagher ahead of the 24/25 season.
Gallagher, who started playing rugby at Enfield Ignatians is a promising playmaker who impressed in this summers U20 Six Nations series in Parma.
She displayed a well rounded game at full back featuring defensive stability coupled with dynamism when she has the ball in hand.
Signing for Trailfinders, Gallagher said: “I’m really looking forward to being apart of the Trailfinders family and can’t wait to be apart of the bright future of the club!”

Trailfinders Women are delighted to announce the signing of Sally Williams from Loughborough Lightning ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The back row scored 25 appearances for the Lightning, scoring three tries during her time in the Midlands.
Williams’ signing brings another leader into the squad, having captained the Lightning against Trailfinders in the Allianz Cup.
Signing for Trailfinders, Williams said: “I’m really excited about this new chapter in my rugby career. Trailfinders are an awesome team, who’ve had a great start to the premiership league, and signing with a team like them for the 2024/2025 season will definitely help me to grow as a player! I’m massively looking forward to preseason and excited to be a part of the journey Trailfinders are on !”
