Ealing Trailfinders partner with The West London Queer project and Pride in Touch
The West London Queer Project and Pride in Touch hosted their first ever Touch Rugby Social at Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club on Saturday the 10th of February with over 20 attendees.
February is LGBTQ Plus History Month, and with this taster session being the first LGBTQ+ community that we are partnering with, we also made history.
Touch Rugby Saturday Socials are our way of bringing the wonderful game of touch rugby to the LGBTQ+ Community and allies, to encourage them to join touch club – West London Warriors. The morning started with some easy warm up exercises and an ice breaker. They then went through the rules of the game with some drills before being put into some small sided games.
Touch rugby is truly a sport for all. Games are mixed gender, and it’s easy to pick up and play. Regardless of your age or ability we want to encourage as many people as possible to pick-up an egg shaped ball and give it a try.
