Match Report Aylesbury 35 – 17 1871 Ealing Women

On the 20th October the 1871 Ealing women’s team hopped on the bus and travelled to Aylesbury RFC for their third match of the season. The weather was predictably awful, but we were in high spirits having just won our previous game the week before. It was a well-met match and each team made several line breaks and scores.

The tackles were hard and Ealing did well to keep to our new structure. Whilst the result wasn’t quite what we wanted at 35-17 to Aylesbury , Ealing did a fantastic job at keeping morale high throughout. We had a team of just 15 and finished by scoring the final try and conversion of the match.

A special well done to our forward of the match, Kayleigh Pink for her first game back after injury, our back of the match, Scarlett Keene, who scored her first try for us, and, to the coaches’ player, Eleanor Cresswell for excellent work in the front row.

We are excited to get back to practice for our next match on home soil against Barnes women II on 10th November!
